Academic Leadership

ReCIPE brings together experts with diverse thematic and regional expertise for its Academic Leadership team. The team is made up of a leading Research Director, a Head of Engagement, and eighteen Theme Leaders.

Dominic Rohner is the Research Director of ReCIPE. As the Research Director, Dominic is responsible for providing academic leadership and quality control for the ReCIPE programme. He is the Chair of the programme's Grants Selection Panel and the Academic Steering Group. 

Oliver Vanden Eynde is the Head of Engagement of ReCIPE. Oliver is responsible for connecting the ReCIPE team with external stakeholders, such as policy makers or relevant organisations, to shape ReCIPE research agenda and explore potential collaborations. Oliver is also a ReCIPE theme leader for Theme 5: Climate change, natural resources, and conflict.

Theme Leaders

The ReCIPE Theme Leaders are responsible for the programme’s nine research themes. They bring a wide range of backgrounds, methodological approaches, disciplines (from economics to political sciences), and regional expertise to the programme. Theme Leaders are responsible for the research direction of their individual theme and they participate in ReCIPE activities ranging from grant evaluation processes to events and research.
